In keeping with our core value to volunteer locally, members of the Highlands Consulting team and their families spent last Saturday morning helping out at the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from-home for families of children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. It operates largely on the backs of its local donors and volunteers, so services can be provided at little or no cost to families who may not be able to afford an extended hotel stay to be near their child.
The Highlands team enjoyed a bright Fall morning maintaining the grounds – pruning, raking and pulling weeds – and were treated to a tour of the facility afterward.
