Among our Highlands team, giving back is second nature. Whether it’s organizing a river clean-up event, sponsoring fundraisers for the MLK Celebration and CASA, or donating annually to charities of our employees’ choice – there’s a sincere appreciation for what we have and for what we can contribute. Personally, I think it’s gratitude that makes our company and our community stick together and think outside our bubbles. When we take a moment to say thanks, it’s not just a formality or politeness, it’s setting a tone where everyone feels appreciated.
As we begin a new year, we seek out new ways to make a difference in our community and expand on the 25 charities that we supported in 2023. As Aesop stated: “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Gratitude and giving back are an essential part of our company culture and illustrate how our values guide our actions. Here’s to the new year, one filled with meaningful opportunities to give back!
