Highlands Consulting has been proud to help California reimagine the future of public transit by supporting CalSTA’s Transit Transformation Task Force (TTTF). Through Senate Bill 125 (2023), the Task Force was created to bring together voices from across the state—including transit leaders, community advocates, researchers, and experts—all focused on one goal: making transit better for everyone.
Since December 2023, the Task Force has met 13 times in cities across California to share ideas and shape recommendations on how to transform transit in the state. Highlands has helped make these meetings a success by providing planning and facilitation services and has also supported CalSTA by drafting the report to the Legislature due later this month.
The forthcoming report marks the culmination of a robust, year-long collaboration and outlines a range of strategies and recommendations to make California’s transit system more reliable, connected, and welcoming for all.
