Gardening for a Cause

Published by Jacob Olson

A group from Highlands Consulting, along with families and friends, recently donated our time to the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House. We spent a few hours on a warm Saturday morning raking leaves, pulling weeds, and trimming trees and shrubs.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from-home for families of children receiving treatment at area hospitals. Without the services provided by the Ronald McDonald House, and the generous donations which fund their operations, these families would be forced to sleep in cars or hospital waiting rooms. The 38-unit facility, including a recent two-story expansion, provides a comfortable living environment for families that need it most.

One of Highlands Consulting’s core values is to volunteer locally, and we were proud to don our red shirts and gardening gloves to help.
