Our Differences Make Us Stronger

At Highlands Consulting we believe that being diverse and inclusive makes us more innovative, engaged, and productive. Three years ago, we formed a Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) committee to: 1) define a our goals and objectives, 2) build our internal awareness, 3) expand our recruiting efforts, and 4) reinforce our community outreach and donations.

As a former Peace Corps volunteer, I was privileged to help diverse communities internationally. Now I’m pleased to be a member of our D&I committee to have a local impact. Also, I’ve been impressed by D&I initiatives within our client organizations, such as CalSTRS, Caltrans, CDPH, and CalSAWS. As we move forward, our joint commitment to D&I will make us all stronger, both professionally and personally.
