As the Highlands team transitions into Accenture’s Strategy and Consulting practice in Sacramento, we are excited about new opportunities to collaborate with State of California leaders. One recent example was Accenture’s GovTalks Innovation Exchange, focused on Driving Efficiency and Effectiveness in Government Operations. The session brought together State leaders who, amid a challenging budget landscape, are being asked to deliver more impact with fewer resources.
The speaker panel featured an impressive group of State executives who shared insights on initiatives such as the Governor’s Innovation Fellows Program, along with real-world examples of the growing role of data, machine learning, and AI in government operations. Future GovTalks sessions this year will address workforce development, transition planning, and change management.
While I enjoyed seeing many familiar faces, the session truly reinforced why public sector work matters. I’m pleased to be part of an Accenture team that partners with California government to meet the needs of its citizens.
