The Highlands Consulting Group, Part of Accenture, participated in the 2025 CWDA Conference last month – an important annual gathering that brings together California county leaders and partners to delve into the most pressing human services topics across the state. With approximately 1,000 attendees over two and a half days, the event was a hub of conversation, collaboration, and innovation.
As the Strategic Communications team for California’s Child Welfare Services – California Automated Response and Engagement System (CWS-CARES), we were pleased to help the project make a strong and visible impact at the conference. The CWS-CARES presence included a dedicated project booth, three demonstration sessions, a drop-in discussion, and a 90-minute workshop. A major highlight was the CWS-CARES Workshop which drew a full house — with standing room only — a clear sign of the strong interest in the project’s work.
We were honored to represent both CWS-CARES and Highlands Consulting, and grateful for the opportunity to connect with county partners and discuss the future of human services in California.
